Our friends over at AIOH are hosting a free webinar that you’re invited to join. This is for practitioners involved in the characterization of asbestos containing materials to give them an update on issues as well as improve their knowledge and skills.
This is panel discussion with representatives from ASEA, AHCA, AIOH, FAMANZ and NATA
AHCA – Asbestos & Hazardous Materials Consultants Association
AIOH – Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists
ASEA– Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency
FAMANZ – Faculty of Asbestos Management Australia and New Zealand
NATA – National Association of Testing Authorities
The webinar will be facilitated by Kris Thomas, with the following program:
- Gavin Chappell, AHCA, The challenge of collecting representative and sufficient asbestos bulk and dust samples along with case studies.
- Neil Shepherd, NATA, Sampling and unacceptable practices such as using sticky tape and the reporting on forms with NATA logo.
- Yanel Lara, AIOH, The Australian Standard 4964 and update of current issues being discussed.
- Belinda Brown, ASEA, Asbestos identification innovations i.e. heat mapping and real time asbestos identification project
